Bio

I’m a third year PhD student at the MRC Biostatistics Unit in the University of Cambridge (2021-2025). Prior to this, I did an MEng in Information Engineering (2016-2020) at the University of Cambridge, where I focused on machine learning and computational biology. I worked at Cambridge Cancer Genomics as an intern during my MEng and afterwards until its acquisition by Dante Labs. Following this, I worked at Vivan Therapeutics as a data scientist before starting my PhD in October 2021.

I’m supervised by Oscar M. Rueda and Sach Mukherjee.

Research interests

Machine learning: representation learning, transfer learning, concept-based models, biologically-informed machine learning, interpretable machine learning, robustness.

Cancer biology: CRISPR and related technologies, large-scale pharmocological screening, endocrine therapy, breast cancer, hormone-related cancers

LGBTQ+ cancer care: experiences of LGBTQ+ patients, relationships between hormone therapy and cancer (risk and outcome)

Opportunities

I’m always interested in hearing from anyone with similar interests, so please reach out if you see anything you like. I’m also on the lookout for postdoctoral opportunities from summer 2025.
